...in theory, you could fill in the blanks. But I figure that posting something at least once a month for the time being will be in order.
I know the "therapeutic value" of journaling; and for a time, I was pretty religious about putting my feelings to paper, if not to a blank screen (I am cursed with the ability of being able to type faster than I can hand write). But there are times, once you've been sitting in front of a screen (either small or large) for 10-15 hours at a time, that regurgitating thoughts just didn't work for me. But I resolve to be better. Or at least try.
The last couple of years haven't been the best for me as far as personal times go, but things are going better. After taking responsibility for things I have done in the past, it's a long slow journey back to what I used to consider "normalcy" and truly a single step at a time process. But things *are* going better - I am once again employed (part time) by a wonderful individual who has made the commitment to trust me despite my past failings, and we are building a very positive business venture together. I have come to realize that those of my friends who have chosen to stick with me are truly those who are on the "keeper" list - and those of who refuse to look past my past, aren't worth the change you find at the bottom of the washer when it's done. I've learned that simple living is probably better than not, and while it's been a tough road, I can do it. I have my best friend to thank for that, who I know I exasperate and frustrate multiple times a day, and I wonder all the time why she puts up with me :) ... our relationship confounds many; and it's just easier that way, you know.
So, here it is; unedited and unpublished. Until you read this.
